The City of Keene seeks to dispose of biosolids generated at its Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).
The City of Keene produces on average between 60 and 120 wet tons per week of biosolids from the wastewater treatment process. The City typically produces approximately 4500 wet tons of sludge per year. The conforming biosolids concentration may range from 15 to 40 percent solids. The average percent solids is approximately 26 percent, however there are occasions when biosolid concentrations have been lower due to poor conditioning, equipment problems and other factors.
